Breaking News!

As many of you know the world is a crazy place. With all the drama that has arose in the past couples of months it feels like the country is in the worst place I've ever seen it. All states are currently under lock down and are trying to flatten the curve of the Corona-virus cases. With that comes the good old safer at home act. When this act was introduced it was in the height of the scare and panic. It has been almost a month since then and many people thought we would be out of this quarantine. Well were not and good old Evers decided to extend the act till May 26. "The day of graduation for us seniors" In essence the school year is pretty much over minus tests and finals. With the extension there has been numerous cases of protesting going on in Wisconsin. Many protesters want to be able to reopen businesses and to be able to support their families once again. Without the need to ruin the economy with stimulus checks and massive grants to large corporations. With the rise of protesters it begs the question of is it really that dangerous for people to be out and free. It raises the question if we really have freedom in this country and how the government can take away rights like going out in public without a mask in certain states. The number of people in Wisconsin is roughly 5,820,000  people. There has been a total of 242 deaths in the state. At what point do we go back to normal life. Did the country lock down during influenza or SARS? The answer is no and this is a special case. It will be interesting to see what happens in the up coming weeks till we are finally let out again. The final point is added in the extension Evers decided to open Golf courses staring 4/24. Not hair salons or restaurants or other places that need to open and and getting hit hard. Golf courses are apparently essential. Its hard to tell what our governor is thinking when it comes to the state.

  1. I somewhat agree. People need to be able to make money for themselves or their families at some point, and who's to decide exactly what is essential or not. It may be essential to that person.
