The end of my senior year.

As the 2020 school year comes to a close many students are experiencing their final months of high school. Now, if you were to ask me a couple months ago if I was ready to graduate I would of said yes because I was sick of school and just wanted to get my diploma and move on. If you were to ask me that question today it would be a whole different answer. I would say no, i'm not ready to graduate. This whole corona thing is causing me to change my mind. These last weeks before we walk across the stage and move on with our lives is coming soon than a lot of us realize. In just two months I might might never see some of my classmates ever again. To add fire to the flame I won't be able to spend the last couple weeks of school with them and end the year together.
School is at home now, Prom is cancelled, graduation might not happen in person, we might not return to school to see each other again and finally all spring sports are most likely not happening. just imagine this, you go through twelve whole years of school waiting for this end stretch and moment and then boom. Cancelled, all your hard work, those three years of practice for that competitive senior season, final Prom to just not happen. It is crazy to think out of all years the one year I had to graduate was the year everything would get cancelled. It's kinda depressing. If you asked me freshmen year if I though my senior year would be waking up at 10 and doing school in my pj's then going back to bed only two hours later I would have thought it was insane.
I would have thought I was going crazy because that is unheard of for a high school senior. Yet that is the reality we are in. The only thing we can do is hope and cherish the final moments we get with our friends and how we spent small moments that we take for granted. That's why i'm cherishing all the small moments with my friends. Cause in two months when they leave for the military, a far away college, or just losing communication I will have all the memories.

  1. I feel you on this and it sucks. I'm not a senior but a lot of my friends are and it's not fair. The only thing I would say for this blog post is to add like 1 or 2 more pictures with your friends in them doing stuff at school.
